Soul at Peace is an international cooperative workshop retreat series for those of us who are nearing authentic self being and peace within, and seek to take the next step toward actualization in becoming transformative beings in peace in response to a calling and journey to live in and be a cause of peace in the world.

Each Soul at Peace retreat is conducted through collective socratic facilitation with the intent of inspiring both individual and community self-reflection, toward the goal of cultivating shared insight into our respective evolving causes for peace.  Each of us will share in the teaching and learning by simultaneously assuming the dual roles of the teacher and the taught.  Over the course of the ten day retreat, each of us will take a turn telling the story of our personal journey toward authentic self being, while those of us listening will interrogate the story teller on the manifestation of the internal peace process as transformative events in the story unfold: emergence of conflict, impasse, insight, compassion, contrition, forgiveness, reconciliation, consensus, and sustainable peace ("actualization)").  The story telling exercises are dispersed among mindfulness practices, including yoga, mediative walking and hiking, song and dance, role playing, and inspirational readings.   Every reflective experience from arrival at the workshop retreat through farewell embraces, including lodging assignments, meal preparation, activities, exercises, group discussions and individual conversations, is offered as an organic meditative next step toward realizing authentic self being and peace.

You are asked to complete a directed self study in advance of registering to attend a workshop retreat. The directed self study is intended to stimulate self examination of your evolving cause for peace and journey toward the actualization of becoming a transformative being in peace.  This self examination is suggested as a means to help you evaluate whether your attendance at a Soul at Peace retreat might be of mutual benefit to you and the other attendees in responding to the calling and journey to fully live in and be a cause for peace in the world.
